Developed by Pirelli engineers and produced in the company’s motorsport laboratories, the Race Compound represents the perfect balance between rolling efficiency and control. Tested extensively both in the lab and in real-world conditions — and immediately put into competition, from the World Cup to the Cape Epic — it is the highest-performing compound in Pirelli’s MTB range. Designed to deliver maximum control and speed across a wide variety of terrains, it ensures a safe and precise ride in all conditions. At the same time, it offers excellent tear resistance, enhancing protection against punctures. Applied as a single layer throughout the full thickness of the tread, without inserts of lower-quality compounds, it guarantees consistent performance over time, even as the tyre wears.

ProWALL
ProWALL provides enhanced sidewall protection, improving puncture resistance and handling at low air pressure. The sidewall is reinforced with an additional nylon layer that increases resistance against penetration and cuts, while also stabilizing the tyre at low pressure for a more confident ride on any terrain. ProWALL is an excellent choice for cross-country racing, trail riding, and enduro when paired with different casing constructions — either 120 or 60 TPI.
